This collection of world maps drawn by children from many countries can be used as a teaching resource to engage students in activities to encourage learning about the world. Internet links have been included to make it easy to move from these maps to sources which can be used to find information about countries and topics. These links have been selected for their access stability and high information value. The maps themselves present a number of themes reflecting common concerns of children, no matter where the map artist resides, which students can explore. Using the search feature the students can select a favourite map of interest to them and do an in-depth analysis of the map. The maps can also be used as a resource for simple statistical analysis and visual presentations. Diversity of artistic expression can be investigated from the point of view of art medium, map design, and interpretive skills demonstrated by the map creators. Students can use the map images to create postcards, notepaper or greeting cards for their personal use.
